Dress is a basic necessity of human beings. The basic objective of this art is to prepare all sorts of dresses within the shortest possible time and at a minimum cost.
Today, Fashion design has reached new heights by Computer Aided method of designs. As a result of it Computer Industry has got it new custom. Computer technology is making wave in the fashion designs. Computer aided design programs reduce the demand for manual sketches. Now Software Programs continue to replace old manual skill. Gone by the wayside are old fashioned flat pattern construction, pencil sketching and traditional math-based pattern sizing.
In this department, training in dress designing, pattern making and stitching is provided in a systematic manner. This is done under proper procedure, which is called the art of dress making and designing.
In Textile Designing and Printing Technology students also learn screen printing that is used for T-Shirt, dresses and Bill boards. It is also used for CD printing and graphics.
By learning the art of dress making, our young women not only participate in national development but they also have the advantage of having self-employment at their residences and can earn better lively-hood.
Moreover, they can run their own boutiques and business etc.
